Paris – City of Dreams

Thomas Jefferson once said “A walk around Paris will provide lessons in History, beauty and in the point of Life “.  Paris is often known as “The City of Love” or the “City of Lights”. When the Romans arrived here, they named this city as Lutetia. The streets of Paris overflow with Culture, Art, Beauty and history. Today Paris is also a Major European hub for Fashion, Diplomacy, Finance, Commerce, Science and Arts. In 2018, Paris was ranked as one of the most expensive cities in the world. It is not only the capital of France, but also the largest and the most important city in France.

Paris is centrally located and is very well connected by Road, Rail and Air to other major French cities and also international cities. There are two international Airports in Paris. The Gare Du Nord train station is one of the busiest train stations in the world. The Paris metro which opened in the year 1900 serves more than 5 million passengers daily, making it the second busiest metro system in Europe after Moscow. Paris received 38 million visitors in 2019, making it the second most visited city in the world after Bangkok.

Being the hub for Art, culture and Architecture, Paris is full of museums. The Louvre museum in Paris is the largest and most visited museum in the world. Apart from that, there are interesting museums like Orsay, Musee de l’orangerie, Rodin and Picasso. Paris is famous for its typical French cafes with red or green roofs and outdoor sitting. Paris has hosted Major world sporting events like the Olympics, Football World cup and Euro Football and hosts the French open Tennis tournament and Tour de France cycling race every year. Some of the Other Major tourist attractions in Paris are Eiffel Tower, Arc De Triomphe and Concorde square.
